Reviews and Reads

There aren't enough hours in the day to enjoy everything I would like to read. With that being said, I appreciate reviews that help me decide whether a book or article is something that I want to pursue. In that light, I enjoy passing on information to potential readers. Please enjoy!

HER DEADLY INHERITANCE

“Her Deadly Inheritance” by Beth Ann Ziarnik is a newly released Christian romantic suspense novel that kept me turning pages during lunch breaks and after hours. This amazing debut novel held my attention by means of a stimulating plot and true-to-life characters. Being a Yooper myself (originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula), I wondered how the story’s Grand Island and Munising settings would ring true. Beth did a superb job of describing the terrain, local features, and Lake Superior’s ever changing features.

The story’s heroine, Jill Shepherd, finds herself in one predicament after another. She is determined to learn the truth about her mother’s death, despite handsome Clay Merrick’s attempts to dissuade her. Jill’s faith keeps her focused while she attempts to deal with revolting relatives that generate doubt, confusion, and heartbreak.

Clay Merrick has his own motive for remaining on Grand Island, although he doesn’t want anyone to know about it. He does, however, let Jill know that he plans to stay just long enough to solve his own mystery. Clay’s quandary and attraction to Jill fuel misunderstandings and angst that both main characters experience.

This roller coaster mystery contains riveting suspense that will hold your attention until the very end. Realistic character personalities draw you alongside, right into the tension and escalating circumstances. Unexpected twists and turns delight the sleuth-reader who is skulking from one suspicion to another.

Don’t miss out on this story. “Her Deadly Inheritance” exemplifies Christian fiction at its best. Beth Ann Ziarnik is sure to become one of your favorite authors.
